H.R. Giger. Kunst - Design - Film
Der Schweizer Künstler HR Giger ist einer der bedeutendsten Vertreter des „Phantastischen Realismus“. Die Sonderausstellung präsentiert sein gesamtes Filmdesign. Berühmtheit erlangte der 1940 in Chur geborene Zeichner, Maler und Skulpturist mit der Kreation des Alien für den gleichnamigen Filmklassiker von Ridley Scott (USA 1979). ¬

H.R. Giger. Kunst - Design - Film
The exhibition presents, for the first time worldwide, a comprehensive selection of the film-related works of H.R. Giger. The artist himself was closely involved in its planning. In addition to numerous sketches and designs, the show also includes sculptures such as “Humanoid” from SWISSMADE and one of the “Harkonnen” chairs that Giger designed for DUNE. Central areas of the show are dedicated to ALIEN, ALIEN3, POLTERGEIST II, and SPECIES. ¬

KARL VALENTIN
The exhibition is devoted to Karl Valentin, a comedian, cabaret
artist, author and film producer from Bavaria born in 1882. A comprehensive
look is taken at his multi-faceted work and the uses he made of various media.
The exhibition thereby extends the "usual" portrayal of him as a
comedian.
